The characters are quite different from Portia ( for better or worse ). The dev team is very receptive to feedback.Īs V said, Sandrock does have it's own feel to it. Multiplayer will have its own story ( and can apparently be done solo if you just want to see it ) and will soon have a wide test period for all players in Alpha. I still believe it was done better in Sandrock, but some people might like it better. I do want to add my main complaint is Fishing. The Mining Ruins are a lot more like Old Ruins than just Caves. Weather effects will be included in the final release. Land Size is amazing for those who can afford it. Yes, this part can get a bit tricky to learn, but they are adding pre-made selections at a later date for those who want it. A lot more Customization for your Workshop. Unlike Portia, you lose Time rather than having to pack multiple stamina foods to fight the monsters inside, and the amount of Time is given to you prior to entry. You lose a buff and gain dark eyes, but otherwise it's fine. There's no Stamina Penalty for staying up late. The devs have devoted a lot of quality of life improvements over Portia. even if its not much is it still worth it or is it kinda more of the same? Like the town needs you to build something instead of it would be nice to have a bridge, ect. Some of the quest feel like they are higher stakes than in Portia. Sandrock is a bit rough around the edges at first but i loved to see people warming up to you as they got to know you and become your friend. Portia was a quaint town with plenty of resources and a tight knit community who were more or less happy to meet you because they knew your pa. ![]() Sandrock does have a different feel to it. Maybe its just me but I like playing a portion of this game and eagerly awaiting the next update ( I know that might not be for everyone) ![]() I love watching the game form and look forward to updates and fixes. Sandrock has been, hands down, the best experience I have had with an early release. I loved Portia but right now I feel like Sandrock blows it out of the water in some aspects. ![]()
